Muse #36

This week over at Muse Karen M is the guest designer. Karen’s cards are always fabulous and I often find myself voting for her cards! Here is her inspiration card:

Here is my take:

I flipped Karen’s layout and attempted to ink my own background (if anyone can point me in the direction of some good inking tutorials that would be great!). I then added some poppies using the poppy memory box die.

Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  1. Wow – you’ve both simplified and intensified it – love this take on the Muse – thanks for playing along!

  2. I really like what you’ve done with this inspiration – it’s beautiful 😉 I think you’ve done a great job of inking your own background! I always like the Tim Holtz Distress Ink tutorials – they teach and inspire, in my humble opinion anyway!

  3. i love the poppy die you used!
and your inking is perfect…..it is a nice soft look….there is no wrong way to ink a background, that is the best part of inking, everytime you do it it will be different and unique!!! great take on the MUSE!

  4. So pretty, Lucy … this die is one of my favorites and I don’t even have it! Your background inking is lovely … I too haven’t done much at all, but check out Heather’s blog (cardz.wordpress.com) if you haven’t already, she the awesomeness of awesome on it! Anita 🙂

  5. Love this Lucy. I’m afraid I can’t help with inking techniques, I still only have pigment ink in my stash and not sure you can do much with it. I need to get myself some dye or distress inks so I can learn too 🙂
