The challenge over at CASology is “Bloom”.  I’ve often heard expectant mothers described as blooming – so that is the direction I went with my card – using the aptly named “Blooming Emmy” digi stamp from the DigiStamp Boutique (she has a cute little baby bump!):

I used my brand new cloud washi tape from Paperchase – I love it!! The congratulations stamp is from Kaisercraft.  It took so many attempts to colour this digi image – more promarker practice needed!

I’m also adding this card to the DigiStamp Boutique May challenge.

Thanks for looking!

  1. I was scratching my head – where are the flowers?! But now I get it! Very clever! Love the strips of sky, too – another clever idea! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology this week!

  2. The obvious for “bloom” is flower, but I too thought of pregnancy. I did not do pregnancy, I don’t think I even have such a stamp, I followed the pack. So congrats on a unique card.

  3. I love your creative take on this week’s cue card. Your fun sky and pink hills are perfect!. So glad you joined in on the fun at CASology this week!

  4. Now THIS is creativity! This is absolutely fantastic, Lucy! I love your interpretation of the cue word and what you’ve done with that washi tape is amazing! 🙂
Thanks so much for joining us at CASology!

  5. This is fabulous! I loved it on first site. Your coloring is so well done, and I love the imperfect line created by the washi tape background…I love it! The pink floral hills are the perfect touch too…beautifully sweet card!

  6. OMGosh, what a clever take on this week’s cue! I love how you used the washi…so clever, and your image is absolutely darling! Love this card…CONGRATS to you on winning this week’s challenge!!!
